Pros: So far everything seems to be working well. I have not had the camera long enough to put it through a complete test but it all seems to be OK.

    3/18/2014
Monoprice customer from Mill Creek, WA

Pros: Very good camera. Housing appears to be solid. Quality is very good. Picture quality also very good. Cons: Picture quality not as good as Go Pro, but then again you aren't paying that much either. Some of the colours just a tad dull, but I doubt anyone would notice. Excellent camera for the price you pay. Lots of accesories coming online so that will be good. Feels solid in the hand.

MHD Sport Wifi Action Camera 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Orange, CA

Pros: Great price. Great quality. Cons: The manual could explain what all the included accessories are for and how to use them. Also, there should be a manual showing accessories not included with the purchase (head mount, chest mount. The camera / camcorder is great. Great photo and video quality. Make sure to get a Micro SD Card as well. Will be taking it with me to go Scuba diving.

    Amazing Product 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Schnecksville, PA

Pros: Great viewing angle, awesome design, great quality, great FPS. Cons: No SD card included. Awesome product! Obviously this product competes against the ""Go Pro"" video cameras, and the Mono Price version serves just amazing! The top of the line Go Pro is in the range of $300, whereas this is nearly half that price - with the same outstanding build design and quality! I couldn't recommend this product more. However, as no SD card in included, you must purchase one of your own - which will bump up this very attractive price a little bit. A solid 8/10. I would give this product a 10/10 if it included an SD card, and the price would be cut a little bit more. Just my opinion however!

    Decent Camera 3/18/2014
Monoprice customer from Sherwood Park, AB Canada

Pros: The controls (watch-style and iOS over Wi-Fi) are great. Cons: The mounts attach to the case, which unfortunately prevents the charger from being attached while the camera is mounted. Overall a decent camera. Video quality is pretty good, and it seems almost indestructible. The kids love playing with it too.

Monoprice customer from Grand Rapids, MI

Pros: quality build, features, price. Cons: non so far. i just used it for a cardboard sled race and this thing took a beating but awsome video quality! i bought a few mounts with this and was very impressed with how everything worked. im still figuring out the software for editing (which i think could be better) but overall great! i would compare it to a GP any day and i say this as i've used them before

MHD Sport Wifi Action Camera 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Lakewood, CA

Pros: Great price! Included accessories, easy to use, build quality. Cons: Battery life, Low light conditions, Desktop software, Slow Wifi sync/transfer rate. For the price, you really can't beat it! I took this out on a 3-4 hour surf session (small surf) mounted on my surfboard. I did swap out the battery halfway through. The mount and housing handled the surfing pretty good. There were a few instances where the water slapped it so hard, it pushed the camera down facing the board. I didn't want to over tighen it and possibly break the mount. I also wonder how many surf sessions before i need to replace the double sided sticky that holds the mount. Under bright conditions, the picture quality is perfect for my use (i.e. mobile viewing, youtube, sharing clips with family and friends, etc.). I don't expect professional quality video here ). With that said, there could be a lot done in post. The software (mini cd) that comes with the camera is pretty weak. There needs to be more tweaks (i.e. brightness, sharpen, color correcting, filters, slow-motion, etc.). As is, I did my initial cuts and merges in the software, then imported into GP studio to do sharpening and brightness control, with title screen and text overlays. It would also be nice if Monoprice would make the software downloadable via the website. Bottom line, great product at a great price! No regrets on this purchase.

MHD Sport Wifi Action Camera 3/18/2014
Monoprice customer from St. Louis, MO

Pros: Even my wife said it was worth it, and she usually gives me trouble about my tech/gadget purchases. Took this skiing and rodeln (German sledding down a 5km sledding run on a mountain). It was great! Picture quality is very good, although I have not done a side by side comparison to the much more expensive GP. For a family fun toy I can't imagine it being worth the additional price for the GP.

MHD Sport Wifi Action Camera 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Stockton, CA

Cons: the app didn't seem to work with our Android 4.4.2 devices, so going to keep checking, it may only be compatible with later versions, but we haven't dialed that in yet. Bought this with the intention of using it for recording scuba diving trips. It is very small and compact and fairly easy to figure out. It has a VERY wide angle view, so even though it's small it sees A LOT! The mic is fairly sensitive too, I wasn't sure it would hear much when enclosed in the waterproof case, but it did, so that was a happy surprise.

MHD Sport Wifi Action Camera 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Blaine, WA

Pros: Good Value, low cost camera, Easy to use. Cons: Doesn't include Glass lens as stock case. The camera is a great value product which stands as a good alternative to the prominent sports cameras out there. Main recommendation is to purchase the dive case to benefit from the Flat Glass Lens compared to the curved plastic lens on the stock case. Additionally a second case will provide easy transitions from a swivel mount to the tripod mount to be attached to an extender. Overall cheap and value oriented product. Picture quality and video quality are good, not the greatest, but not to be expected anyways for a cheaper product.

MHD Sport Wifi Action Camera 3/18/2014
Monoprice customer from Glen Oaks, NY

Pros: Fair image quality, nice waterproof mount, good mounting options, control over WiFi is a plus. Cons: No way to mount while using outlet power. Can't use Lapse/Timer/Burst in WiFi mode. Timelapse photos get auto-combined into a video file - no option to keep them saved as individual photos. I'm encouraged by this good unit, as the image quality is good, the waterproof mount is very nice, and I like the ability to control and monitor over Wi-Fi. However, there are a number of faults that make me think twice about my purchase, and I'm considering a return. One annoyance is that there's currently no mount that allows access to the USB port - so long uninterrupted recordings are currently impossible, even if you have a power outlet right next to the camera. That means no long drives from the dashboard mount, no indoor construction timelapses. You can buy batteries inexpensively, but that shouldn't be necessary when you have power right there. You also can't use the mic port, while the camera is mounted, for the same reason. There should be a ""shell"" or ""frame"" mount that addresses this. When you go into WiFi mode, only Photo and Video modes are enabled - you lose timelapse, burst, and timed photo mode. So, you can't preset a timelapse, check your shot, and start/stop remotely. Not sure if this is a bug, or a feature liimitation required by the mobile app. As a photo/video pro, I prefer to be able to control how media is handled - and keep media as raw as possible, for as long as possilbe. For timelapse photos, I would prefer the option to have individual photos stored on the card, allowing me to create image sequences on my own. I could then eliminate individual photos, create the timelapse sequences in software, etc. Instead, all lapse sequences automatically get heavily compressed into a MP4 video file. I can see the value in easily having a video file ready to go, but the option would be nice to have. Battery life is decent, not great - I can get about two hours on a new charge, while running with Wi-Fi off in 1-second lapse. Again, batteries are cheap, and higher capacities are available. Not a huge issue - whatever battery technology is available is all there is to work with - Monoprice can't do anything about that. Overall, I like the unit, and many people will be happy with it, but there are shortcomings that I hope will be fixed in new mounts, in firmware, or in future versions of the unit. I'm not 100% sure that I would purchase it again.

Incredible Value - With Some Caveats 3/18/2014
Monoprice customer from Altamonte Springs, FL

Pros: Amazing Price+++ Lightweight++Multiple Mounting Options Included in the Box.Excellent Video Quality. Selectable Wide and Ultra-Wide Lens Angles. Cons: Lots of handling noise when using waterproof case. Lens fogging issues, partially my fault? (read more below)2 Hour battery life. Battery recharge is slow, almost 2 hours. I've used the Monoproce MHD Sport WiFi camera for a few weeks now and taken it on a 1.5 mud run. The overall build quality is excellent and it is very easy to use. The features and value for money are top notch, with the nearest equivalent product (initials ""G"" ""P"") being almost twice as expensive. My biggest complaint with the unit is the very audible handling noise that seems to be generated by the camera vibrating against the inside of the waterproof housing. The housing comes with neoprene rubber pads on the back access door but these don't hold the camera firmly enough to prevent it from rattling. What audio that is recorded is very muted, which is to be expected with the waterproof case. The camera only had enough battery life for a 2 hour session and I wasn't recording 1080p video the whole time (the rest of the time the camera was ON/STANDBY). I would judge this as being acceptable, but I'll probably need to figure out a way to take a second battery with me on longer obstacle runs or figure out a swap point with a spectator. It's interesting to note that once the batter was fully discharged I could not access the file shares on the camera when it was initially charging attached to a PC. Only after the battery was at +50% could I see the contents of the microSD card. The way around this is just to put the microSD card in a card reader and not use the camera. The manual says that the camera can use ""up to a Class 6 microSD card"" but I'm using a 32GB Class 10 card (faster than a Class 6) without issues. Camera playback over the micro HDMI cable is clean and simple. Lens Fogging - I did have some really bad issues with lens fogging about an hour into the race, but I was *not* using one the silica desiccant packs that come with the camera. That said, I hadn't opened the camera housing before leaving the house that morning, so the relative humidity within the housing should have been pretty low, 25%. I'll amend my review after my next race and using one of the silica packets. Monoprice needs to stock replacement packets because you only get 6 included with the camera. Not really a pro or a con but I think that maybe including so many mounting options in the box might artificially inflate the price. I won't ever use the socket adapters, tripod adapters or the adhesive anchors, but I have purchased the chest mount and will purchase the head mount strap when it becomes available.

Great little camera, for a lot less than a GoPro 3/18/2014
Monoprice customer from Fort Worth, TX

Pros: Comes with tons of accessories, shoots great videoand the on-board LCD menu is super easy to navigate. Packaging is first class as well. No discernible difference in video quality when using the plastic case vs outside the case, so the plastic is introducing minimal (if any) distortion. Battery is removable / replaceable. Cons: Didn't read the specs carefully enough to know it needed a MicroSDhc card, not just a standard SDhc, so I needed to order some new memory cards to use it. I got this to allow me a more affordable way to shoot multi-view footage, and as a lightweight camera to use under my quadcopter. So far, no complaints!

MHD Sport Wifi Action Camera 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Clemmons, NC

Pros: the size, weight, and configuration of this device is exactly what the advertisements have stated. The camera works very easily with the remote wrist strap. The transfer of video to my cell phone worked flawlessly. I have not taken the camera underwater as yet, but I expecting nothing but the beast results. The documentation was clear and understandable. As with any new equipments there is a learning curve. The ArcSoft Total Media software was very easy to install and use. Cons: I found that the lens cap fit very tightly and was somewhat difficult to remove.

MHD Sport Wifi Action Camera 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Naperville, IL

Pros: Compact. Great video quality. Price. Cons: At the time I purchased, there weren't many mounts such as - chest or head, so I haven't been able to fully utilize the power of the camers. This is the 1st camera of this type I have purchased and am enjoying it. Need to find more fun ways to use it. Will be great for our spring vacation in Mexico next March.

Great camera for the price 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Pflugerville, TX

Pros: Seems well built, Video seems very good, Video stable even on bumpy terrain, RF watch remote works well, Plenty of mounting options included in box. Cons: Companion app for Wifi connection is lacking a few options (download to ext SD). App doesn't show what you are recording just before you start recording. Audio isn't the best, but I using while cycling so there its mostly just noise anyway. Instructions are in a miniature book format instead of a folded page which would be nicer. I honestly didn't know how well it would perform seeing the cost compared to the competition, but for my purposes it works out great I use it mainly while cycling using the handlebar mount and has worked out great, video is clear and crisp even when on some rough terrain.

Pretty great for the price 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Philadelphia, PA

Pros: Decent video quality. High framerate at 720p. Great battery life. Great included mounts. Love the RF wrist controls. Cons: Audio isn't very good. Had to find the original manufacturer to look up replacement parts like batteries. I've been playing with this for a few days so far, and I'm impressed. Takes pretty good 60fps video at 720p, which is what I've been shooting the most. I feel like the video could be more clear, but for the price, I don't think you could beat it. I'm looking forward to capturing lots of footage with it.

Great Sports Cam - excellent picture - tons of val 3/18/2014
    Monoprice customer from Sumas, WA

Pros: good clean sharp picture, most accessories included, std replaceable battery (cheap). Cons: Short battery life, Can't purchase extra helmet mounts. Bought this just before a family ski trip. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. Great quality video, Easy to use and most accessories are either included or available inexpensively - the one glaring exception is that I can't purchase an extra helmet mount. Raw video footage from a first tracks run on a glorious sunny morning at Sun Peaks Resort in BC, Canada
